Who Are We?

Founded in 1988, the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology (TxSCO) is the largest oncology professional organization in the state. TxSCO comprises a powerful community of oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary care providers involved in the treatment of patients with cancer.

TxSCO is one of 24 State Chapter Members managed by the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC) and is a State Affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Our members receive valuable educational content and innovative resources designed to keep them ahead of the local and national challenges and trends directly impacting the high-quality care their patients deserve.

We collaborate with internal and external organizations to support our mission of improving patient outcomes and the treatment of cancer in the State of Texas.

Mission:

TxSCO promotes the highest quality of multidisciplinary oncology care in Texas through education, advocacy, networking, and collaboration.

Our goals are to:

• Advocate on state and federal legislative issues impacting patient access to care.
• Provide an educational forum for our members on the current technologies and medical best practices in cancer care delivery.
• Support the knowledge and career advancement of trainees in the field of oncology and create future leaders.
• Communicate changes and updates in oncology practice to our members and the broader community.
